Audit logs
See which server settings changed, who changed them, and when.
Audit logs are a history of successful changes to your server's BabelBot settings. Use them when a language disappears, a bridge changes, or translation starts behaving differently.
For example, if a channel stops translating, you can check whether someone changed its channel rule.
Find a change
- Sign in to the dashboard and select your server. You need Manage Server in Discord.
- Open Audit logs near the bottom of the sidebar.
- Use Filter by person or Filter by action to narrow the results.
- Open an entry to compare the setting before and after the change.
- Select Clear filters to see the full retained history again.
The person filter lists accounts that have recorded changes. An account with no recorded changes will not appear there.
Understand who made the change
Dashboard entries show the account that changed the setting. Changes from a connected assistant show AI assistant and, when available, the connected app's name. BabelBot support identifies support changes. BabelBot identifies automatic changes, such as adjusting settings to plan limits or removing a bridge after a Discord channel is deleted.
What the history includes
The page shows up to 500 successful entries from the last 90 days. It covers server settings, including changes through a connected AI assistant.
The logs do not show the contents of members' messages, billing history, or failed translation attempts. Some lists show item IDs rather than their private contents. Custom-word text, bot profile content, and private bridge credentials do not appear in those entries.
Correct a setting
Reading an entry does not undo it. Open the feature's settings page and make the change you need. Then check the result in Discord and look for the new entry in Audit logs.
If settings look right but a translation failed, use Troubleshooting.
