Danger zone
Pause BabelBot or reset your server's translation settings.
Danger zone contains two different actions. Disable for this server pauses automatic translation. Reset settings replaces your translation configuration with defaults.
You need Manage Server in Discord. Sign in to the dashboard, select your server, and open Danger zone near the bottom of the sidebar.
Pause without losing settings
- Select Disable for this server.
- Read the dialog and select Disable to confirm.
- Open Overview and check that Translations is off.
This turns off automatic translation and bridges while keeping your choices. Turn Translations back on from Overview to resume. Member context menus and slash commands may still work.
Reset settings
Reset also restores public flag translations and enables media translation in the saved settings. Paid features still need the required plan and AI allowance.
A reset cannot be undone
Resetting turns Translations on and restores English as the target language. It removes local bridges, channel rules, custom words, and ignored users. Write down any settings you want to recreate before confirming.
- Select Reset settings.
- Read the confirmation dialog.
- Select Reset everything only if you want to replace the configuration.
- Reopen the settings pages and check the defaults before members start chatting.
Check Overview after resetting. Turn Translations off there if you need to pause while you set the server up again.
Cross-server connections have separate settings and stay connected after a reset. To remove one, open Cross-server connections and disconnect it.
Billing does not change. A reset does not cancel a subscription. Discord webhooks from old bridges may remain until you remove them in Discord. A webhook is the connection BabelBot uses to post bridge messages.
If your goal is to change one setting, open that feature's page instead. If your goal is to cancel a plan, use Billing and limits.
