Profile
Set BabelBot's avatar, banner, and bio for your Discord server.
The bot profile controls the picture, banner, and short description members see for BabelBot in this server. It requires Pro, Ultra, or Founder Access.
An avatar is the small profile picture beside the bot's name. A banner is the larger image on its profile. A bio is the short text on that profile.
Change the profile
- Sign in to the dashboard and select your server. You need Manage Server in Discord.
- Under Bot identity, open Profile.
- Enter an Avatar image URL, a Banner image URL, or a Bio. You can leave fields empty to use their defaults.
- Select Save profile.
- Open BabelBot's profile in Discord to check the result.
An image URL is a web address for the image file itself, such as https://example.com/avatar.png. Use a publicly accessible image you already host. The address above is an example, not an image you can use. A page that contains an image is not an image URL. You cannot upload a local file through these fields.
The bio field shows its character limit. Profile choices apply to this server, so you can use different images in different communities.
If saving fails
Follow the permission message if the page shows one. Select Update in Discord, grant the named permission to BabelBot, then return and check again.
For an image error, check that the URL opens the image itself and that BabelBot can access it. The dashboard shows an error if Discord cannot apply the profile.
Restore the default profile
Select Reset to default on the Profile page. Then check the bot's profile in Discord.
To change its displayed name, use Nickname. Profile images do not change the member names and avatars used by Replace the original or clean voice chat messages.
